Iran Warns of Decisive Response to Threats by Israel
Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravan, has issued a warning that Iran will respond “decisively” to any threats or unlawful acts by Israel. This statement came in response to recent comments by David Barnea, the head of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad, who accused Iran of directing more than 20 attacks against Israel in the past year and threatened military actions against Iranians in retaliation.
Iravan called Barnea’s claims baseless and a violation of international law and the UN Charter. He reiterated Iran’s commitment to defending its national security and interests and urged the UN Security Council to condemn Israel’s “hostile rhetoric and destructive activities.”
