Iran Warns US After Ship Attack

Iran says it won’t meet with U.S. officials for talks right now. This comes after President Trump sent American negotiators to Pakistan just days before a ceasefire in West Asia is set to end.

The situation escalated when a U.S. warship fired at an Iranian cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman. The ship, flying Iran’s flag, tried to avoid a U.S. naval blockade. A spokesperson for Iran’s military warned that they will soon retaliate against what they called “armed piracy” by the United States.

Iran accuses the U.S. of breaking the ceasefire agreement, which has been in place since April 8. The spokesperson said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces will respond and retaliate.”

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump described the incident. He said the Iranian ship, named Touska, ignored warnings and was stopped by the USS Spruance, which damaged its engine room.

This紧张局势 continues to grow as both sides remain on high alert.
