Rahul Gandhi Leads Election Campaign in Southern India

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will speak at election meetings in southern districts starting Monday, April 20, 2026. After campaigning in Colachel, he will urge voters to support Ruby R. Manoharan, the Congress candidate for that constituency, and other Secular Progressive Alliance candidates in Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts.

Meanwhile, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, is planning a two-day campaign tour in neighboring Tamil Nadu as part of the NDA’s increased efforts ahead of the elections.

In West Bengal, Prime Minister Modi recently addressed rallies in Bankura, Purulia, Jhargram, and Paschim Medinipur. He criticized the Trinamool Congress government and accused it of being “anti-tribal.”
