Jihadi Content in Bomb Threat Emails to Bengaluru Schools Raises Concerns

A preliminary police probe into the bomb threat emails sent to over 15 schools in Bengaluru has revealed jihadi content, according to sources. The threatening letter, calling for conversion to Islam or facing the sword of Islam, warned of explosive devices on school premises and invoked the Mumbai terror attacks. The email’s communal nature has prompted authorities to take the matter seriously, although they acknowledge the possibility of it being a prank.

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar urged people not to panic, assuring that cybercrime police are actively investigating the incidents. The threats, received by reputed schools, caused tension and raised concerns in the city, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation to determine the nature and source of these threats.
