Karunaas held

The Nungambakkam police on Sunday arrested actor-turned-MLA Karunaas for his alleged derogatory remarks against chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and a city police officer at a public meeting in the city last week.

The Thiruvadanai MLA, who was picked up by the police from his house in Saligramam at 6.27am, was produced before 13th metropolitan magistrate S Gopinathan and remanded in judicial custody till October 5.
