KKR All-Rounder Cameron Green Ready to Bowl Four Overs

Cameron Green expressed full confidence in his ability to bowl four overs and bat anywhere for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2026 as they secured their fourth consecutive win. KKR triumphed over Delhi Capitals by eight wickets at Arun Jaitley Stadium, thanks to Finn Allen’s unbeaten century. Despite losing their first six games, KKR now sit seventh in the points table.

Green, who took Nitish Rana’s wicket while bowling just one over, played a key role with 33 runs to help his team win. He had not bowled in the first two matches due to injury management but focused on batting initially before returning to his all-rounder duties.

Speaking after the match, Green discussed his bowling role and batting position. He highlighted the team’s depth, mentioning Anukul Roy’s contributions and how it allows him to focus on specific overs. He emphasized that having multiple reliable bowlers helps distribute the workload effectively.

In his third IPL season and first with KKR, Green has scored 232 runs and taken four wickets so far. He also reflected on his batting position, stating that the team is finding the right balance for each player’s strengths.

Green was acquired by KKR for ₹25.20 crore in the auction but downplayed any pressure from his high price tag. He credited the franchise and staff for supporting him and noted he feels comfortable handling such expectations after three IPL seasons.
