In Trichy, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) candidate Leema Rose Martin is maintaining a strong lead in a closely contested three-cornered election battle during the Tamil Nadu Assembly election counting.

Leema Rose Martin, the wife of lottery businessman Santiago Martin, is considered the richest candidate in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. According to her election nomination papers, she has declared net assets worth ₹1,049.5 crore.

Despite intense competition and major political shifts across the state, Leema Rose Martin has continued to stay ahead in all rounds of vote counting on Monday.

Her strong performance stands out at a time when several prominent candidates, including sitting DMK ministers, former AIADMK ministers, and other star candidates, are facing losses in their traditional strongholds and supposedly safe seats.
