Main Accused in Assault on Woman Constable Killed in Police Encounter

Anees, the primary accused in the brutal assault on a woman constable aboard the Saryu Express in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, has been killed in a police encounter in Ayodhya’s Pura Kalandar. During the encounter, one police personnel sustained injuries. Two other suspects, Azad and Vishambhar Dayal, were arrested from Inayat Nagar after sustaining injuries.

The accused admitted to misbehaving with the woman constable and collectively attacking her, including smashing her head against a window and pushing her under a berth when she became unconscious. The three suspects fled the train before it came to a complete stop in Ayodhya.
