Man Arrested After Viral Video Shows Girl Being Thrashed with Belt

Officials reported on Thursday that a man has been arrested following the circulation of a distressing video on social media showing him thrashing a girl with a belt and slapping her in a room. The video also captured another girl’s voice in the background.

The Sadar Kotwali police took swift action and apprehended the man, identified as Ishu Verma after the video went viral. Station-in-charge Chandra Shekhar confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations into the matter are underway. Additionally, a case has been registered against the individual responsible for making the video viral, to address the full scope of the incident.
