Man Arrested at Chennai Airport for Smuggling 12 Pythons in Luggage

Customs officials at Chennai airport detained a man who attempted to smuggle 12 pythons hidden in his luggage. The individual, arriving from Bangkok on Tuesday, raised suspicions among Customs officers, leading to an inspection of his checked-in luggage.

Subsequently, the 12 pythons were discovered and seized under the Customs Act. The accused was presented before a local court and remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
