Man Arrested for Threatening Youths Chanting ‘Jai Sri Ram’ in Bengaluru

The Karnataka Police have apprehended a man identified as Nayaz Khan, an auto driver, for issuing life threats to a burqa-clad girl and her friend who chanted ‘Jai Sri Ram’. The accused had threatened them via social media, stating that they would be “cut into pieces” if they dared to chant the slogan in that attire. The incident came to light after a video of the youths chanting ‘Jai Sri Ram’ while wearing religious attire went viral.

The police and fact-checking teams traced Nayaz Khan in the Konanakunte locality of Bengaluru. Khan claimed he had reacted out of anger after seeing the video and had no prior criminal record. An investigation is ongoing in this case.
