Massive Landslide Causes Collapse of 10 Under-Construction Buildings in Himachal Pradesh

A massive landslide struck Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh, resulting in the collapse of at least 10 under-construction commercial buildings. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported from the incident, which occurred near the bus stand in the Anni market area.

The district administration had recently deemed these buildings “unsafe” and evacuated them. Disturbing visuals of the landslide and its aftermath have circulated on social media.

Geological experts have raised concerns about the stability of slopes due to extensive construction activities across Himachal Pradesh, particularly in popular tourist destinations such as Shimla, Dharamsala, and Manali.
