Mayawati Urges Parties to Back Government on Pahalgam, Warns Against ‘Dirty Politics’
BSP chief Mayawati has called on all political parties to support the central government’s actions regarding the situation in Pahalgam. She warned leaders not to play “dirty politics” over the issue and urged them to act responsibly.
Mayawati stressed that national interest should come first. She said that all parties must show unity when dealing with sensitive matters like Pahalgam. According to her, political leaders should avoid making irresponsible statements that could create confusion or increase tensions. She asked them to support the government’s efforts to handle the issue peacefully and effectively.
Mayawati also accused some parties of trying to take advantage of the situation for political gain. She said such behavior could damage the country’s unity and peace. She urged these parties to think beyond votes and work for the greater good.
“Opposition leaders should not mislead the public,” she said. “They must stop using this serious matter to spread false information or hatred.” She added that if everyone stands together, the government can solve the problem in a better and faster way.
The BSP leader also appealed to the media to report facts carefully. She said that media outlets must avoid sensational reporting, which could create fear or panic among people. Instead, they should help spread awareness and truth.
Mayawati’s statement comes at a time when political tension is rising over recent developments in the Pahalgam region. While the government has promised to maintain peace and order, some parties have raised questions and criticisms.
In response, Mayawati made it clear that everyone must act responsibly. “We must not let politics divide us,” she said. “This is a time to stand together and support the government’s steps to protect people and maintain law and order.”
She ended her message by urging all leaders to put the nation first and stop using serious issues for personal or political benefit.
