Middle East Countries and Organizations Condemn Iran’s Attacks on UAE
Several Middle Eastern countries and major regional organizations have strongly condemned Iran’s recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), calling them a serious threat to peace, security, and stability in the region.
Saudi Arabia expressed deep concern over the attacks, with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman holding discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Both leaders stressed the importance of protecting regional security and agreed on the need for stronger cooperation to address rising tensions. Saudi Arabia’s response highlights growing fears that the conflict could expand further across the Gulf.
Jordan also strongly criticized Iran’s actions. The Jordanian Foreign Ministry described the attacks as a direct violation of the UAE’s sovereignty and warned that such aggression could further destabilize the Middle East. Jordan emphasized the importance of respecting international law and preventing further military escalation.
Qatar’s Foreign Affairs Ministry condemned the attacks as a violation of international law and freedom of maritime navigation. Qatar warned that threats to shipping routes and civilian infrastructure could have serious consequences for regional trade and global energy markets.
Egypt joined in rejecting the attacks, strongly opposing any actions that endanger civilians or threaten peace in the Gulf region. Egyptian officials stressed the need for stability and peaceful solutions to prevent wider conflict.
The League of Arab States also voiced full support for the UAE. Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit stated that the security of Arab nations is closely connected and that any threat to one member country is a threat to the wider Arab world.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), representing Gulf nations, issued a united statement condemning Iran’s actions and expressing full solidarity with the UAE. The GCC reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace and collective security.
Overall, the widespread condemnation from Arab nations reflects growing regional unity against actions seen as destabilizing. These developments also underline the urgent need for diplomatic solutions to avoid further conflict and preserve peace in the Middle East.
