India Denounces Attack on Indians in Fujairah Petroleum Zone

India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) strongly condemned the recent attack on Indians in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which took place on May 4, 2026.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal described the attack as completely unacceptable and expressed serious concern over the safety of Indian citizens living and working in the region. According to official reports, three Indian nationals were injured during the incident.

The Indian government urged all parties involved to immediately stop the violence and avoid further escalation. It also emphasized the importance of protecting civilians, workers, and critical civilian infrastructure from such attacks.

India called for peace and stability in the region, stressing that innocent lives should not be put at risk. The government is closely monitoring the situation and remains in contact with UAE authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian nationals affected by the incident.
