PM Modi Honors Fallen Soldiers at Moscow’s ‘Tomb of the Unknown Soldier’

During his two-day visit to Russia for the 22nd India-Russia annual summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute at the ‘Tomb of the Unknown Soldier’ in Moscow on July 9. Located at the Kremlin Wall, this war memorial honors Soviet soldiers who perished in World War II.

PM Modi laid a wreath at the monument, featuring a bronze sculpture of a laurel branch and a soldier’s helmet. Emphasizing the bravery and sacrifice of the fallen, Modi’s tribute marked his first visit to Russia since the Ukraine conflict began. The Prime Minister also addressed the Indian diaspora, highlighting India’s transformation driven by its 140 crore citizens.
