PM Modi to Announce Launch of Vande Bharat Train in Varanasi

During his visit to his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, on December 17-18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to announce the launch of another Vande Bharat train between Varanasi and Delhi. The first Vande Bharat train was inaugurated from Varanasi in 2019. Additionally, the Prime Minister is likely to announce the establishment of a railway tribunal in Kashi, covering 18 districts of the region.

Among the projects to be inaugurated by PM Modi during his visit are the Shivpur-Phulwaria-Lahartara four-lane road, along with several other projects in the railway and petroleum sectors. The Prime Minister is expected to gift projects worth Rs 12,000 crore to Varanasi, inaugurating 17 projects and laying the foundation stone for 11 more. The Varanasi Police commissioner has issued directives to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimize inconvenience to the public during the VIP movement.
