Revanth Reddy Sworn in as Chief Minister of Telangana

Anumula Revanth Reddy officially assumed the role of Chief Minister of Telangana on Thursday, taking the oath of office and secrecy at L. B. Stadium in a ceremony attended by thousands of supporters. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath, marking Reddy as the second Chief Minister of India’s youngest state.

The 54-year-old leader’s swearing-in, scheduled for 1:04 p.m., was delayed by 15 minutes. Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, a Dalit leader, also took the oath as Deputy Chief Minister. Revanth Reddy, arriving at the stadium with Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, garnered loud cheers from the crowd.

The ceremony was attended by prominent political figures, including AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and other senior Congress leaders.
