Roof Collapse in Bihar’s Nalanda District Claims Two Lives, Injures Two

A tragic incident unfolded in Bihar’s Nalanda district on Friday evening when the roof of a house collapsed in Hargawa village. The collapse resulted in the death of two women, identified as Shyam Sundari Devi, aged 65, and Ranju Devi, aged 25. Two children, Ankit Kumar, aged 10, and Nikita Kumari, aged 12, were also injured in the incident.

Shyam Sundari Devi was unfortunately trapped in the debris and lost her life at the scene, while Ranju Devi and the two children were rescued and rushed to a hospital in Pawapuri, where Ranju Devi succumbed to her injuries. Local authorities suspect that the deteriorating condition of the old house, combined with continuous rainfall in the region, may have led to the roof collapse.
