Saudi Arabia Emphasizes No Normalization of Israel Ties Without Palestine State

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, declared in an interview with CNN that there can be no normalization of ties with Israel without a credible and irreversible resolution to the Palestinian issue. The Foreign Minister emphasized the need for stability and stated that resolving the Palestinian conflict is the key to achieving it.

The interview, conducted on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s focus on de-escalating the conflict in Gaza and preventing civilian casualties. The Foreign Minister criticized Israel’s actions in Gaza, describing them as unnecessary and unacceptable, and called for an end to the crushing of the civilian population. The remarks align with the stance of U.S. President Joe Biden, who has emphasized the importance of a two-state solution for future Palestinian statehood.
