Second Batch of Indians Evacuated from Israel Amid Ongoing Conflict
The second batch of 235 Indian nationals, including two infants, arrived in New Delhi under ‘Operation Ajay’ amid the ongoing conflict in Israel. They were received at the airport by Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Rajkumar Ranjan Singh. India initiated ‘Operation Ajay’ to facilitate the return of its citizens in specially chartered flights due to the ongoing violence in Israel.
This comes after the first flight carrying 212 Indians arrived in New Delhi on Friday. The cost of their return is being borne by the Indian government. There are approximately 18,000 Indian nationals in Israel, according to the Israeli embassy. The conflict has claimed numerous lives in both Israel and Gaza.
