Clashes in West Bank Leave 14 Palestinians Dead Amid Ongoing Violence
A new round of violence between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Israel has led to clashes across the West Bank, resulting in at least 14 Palestinians being killed, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry in Ramallah. Five of these fatalities occurred in Tulkarm. Israeli media reported that police officers killed at least four Palestinians attempting to breach the West Bank security barrier near Tulkarm by setting off explosive devices.
Meanwhile, large demonstrations in West Bank cities have shown solidarity with Gaza and condemnation of Israel’s military operation. A total of 44 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli troops and settlers in the West Bank since the recent violence began, while the Gaza Strip and West Bank have seen a death toll of 1,843 and 1,300, respectively, with thousands wounded on both sides.
