Senior Citizen Kills Alcoholic Son Due to Constant Assault in West Bengal

A senior citizen from West Bengal’s Darjeeling district reportedly hacked his alcoholic son to death after enduring constant physical assault. The victim, identified as Bishal Shabar (30), had been regularly assaulting his parents, even his wife, when she objected to his behavior. After the daily physical abuse continued, the father, Kutanu Shabar (55), allegedly attacked his son with a sickle, resulting in his death.

Neighbors revealed that the deceased son had a short temper and would frequently pick fights with neighbors as well. They often had to intervene to protect the parents from his assaults, which continued despite their efforts. The police have taken Kutanu Shabar into custody.
