Stalin Urges Caution and Debate on Delimitation
M. K. Stalin has shared his views on delimitation, saying it should not be treated as a simple calculation based only on numbers. He explained that it must balance two important things—equal rights for all citizens and respect for the role and identity of each state in India.
He said India is a diverse country, and any changes like delimitation must protect the balance between the central government and the states. According to him, this is not a process that should be rushed. Instead, it needs careful thinking and discussion. He also referred to the ideas of Alexander Hamilton, who once said that making quick decisions in lawmaking is not always a good thing.
Stalin stressed that the Constitution is a very important document that represents the people of the country. Because of this, any changes to it should be made with great care, seriousness, and patience. He warned that rushing such decisions can lead to mistakes and unfair outcomes.
He also said that strong and fair policies should be open to discussion and examination. Only policies that are weak or serve narrow interests try to avoid proper debate. Good leadership, he explained, should welcome questions and different opinions instead of avoiding them.
Overall, Stalin’s message is that delimitation and constitutional changes should be handled carefully, with full discussion and respect for both people’s rights and the role of states in the country.
