Surpassing Expectations: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Smriti Vanam Draws Impressive Footfall

Since its inauguration on January 20, 2024, the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Smriti Vanam (Memorial Park) has consistently exceeded officials’ expectations in terms of visitor footfall. With approximately 4,000 visitors on weekdays and over 10,000 on weekends, the park has emerged as a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The presence of more than 30 security personnel daily underscores the management’s commitment to handling the crowd efficiently.

While initial footfall peaked at around 20,000 during weekends, subsequent months have seen a gradual decline, albeit with sustained tourist interest. As ongoing construction projects near completion, including facilities like a children’s park and food court, the park anticipates even higher daily footfall, particularly from city residents.

Despite some concerns regarding seating arrangements and photography rates, visitors appreciate the park’s serene ambiance and informative exhibits, making it a cherished spot for leisurely evenings and educational exploration.
