Telangana BJP MLA Eatala Rajender Confirms His Challenge to KCR

Telangana BJP MLA Eatala Rajender has reiterated his serious intent to contest against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) from the Gajwel constituency in the upcoming elections. Rajender responded to a statement from Telangana’s Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalar daring him to challenge KCR. He noted that the Chief Minister had spent significant resources trying to defeat him in the Huzurabad by-election and called on KCR to contest against him directly.

Rajender, a former minister who was dismissed from the Cabinet in 2021, aims to fulfill his challenge and defeat KCR in the polls. The Chief Minister is contesting from both Gajwel and Kamareddy in the next month’s elections, and it remains to be seen whether Rajender will also contest from Huzurabad or Gajwel. The BJP has yet to announce its candidates for the upcoming elections. Rajender was once a trusted confidant of KCR but joined the BJP after his dismissal from the Cabinet.
