TN government Multi Super Speciality Hospital inspected by Health Secretary

On Thursday, Health Secretary Gagandeep Singh Bedi conducted inspections at the Tamil Nadu Government Multi Super Speciality Hospital and the Government Medical College Hospital, both located at Omandurar Estate. Mr. Bedi visited several units within the hospitals to assess their operations and facilities.

He focused on inspecting the Central Sterilisation Services Department (CSSD) to ensure proper decontamination processes. During his visit, he also went around the departments handling backend services, such as laundry and kitchens, to ensure efficient functioning.

The CSSD was found to have a decontamination area equipped with four manual washing spaces and two ultrasonic decontaminating machines, ensuring adequate sanitation procedures. The inspections aimed to ensure the hospitals’ readiness and adherence to health and safety standards.
