Tragic Altercation Turns Deadly in Selaiyur

A disturbing incident unfolded in Selaiyur as a retired police officer, E. Krishnamurthy, lost his life in a violent altercation. The confrontation ensued when Krishnamurthy intervened in a dispute over a gold chain, resulting in a fatal head injury.

Despite efforts to save him, Krishnamurthy succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Porur. Following a complaint filed by his wife, the perpetrator, identified as Sivaraman, was apprehended by the Selaiyur police and subsequently remanded in judicial custody.
