Tragic Lightning Strike Claims College Student’s Life

A 20-year-old college student met with a tragic accident on the Chennai-Bengaluru Highway near Sriperumbudur. V. Vinaykumar, hailing from Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, was pursuing his studies at a private engineering college in Thandalam. On the fateful night, after classes, Vinaykumar was riding his two-wheeler with friends Divya Teja and Revanu on their way to their hostel in Pazhanchur.

Suddenly, a lightning strike occurred, throwing Vinaykumar from the vehicle. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while his friends sustained minor injuries. The authorities later sent Vinaykumar’s body to the Sriperumbudur Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
