Tragic Plane Crash in Greece: Pilot and Co-pilot Killed While Battling Forest Fire

The pilot and co-pilot of a firefighting plane tragically lost their lives on Tuesday as their aircraft crashed while battling a forest fire on the Greek island of Evia, as reported by the country’s Defence Ministry. The victims were identified as two Greek Air Force officers, aged 27 and 34, according to an official press release. In honor of their sacrifice, a three-day period of mourning has been declared in the Armed Forces.
