Tugboat Capsizes off Cagayan Province, Philippines; 11 People Missing

In the northern Philippines’ Cagayan province, a tragic incident unfolded as a tugboat carrying seven crew members went missing during the onslaught of typhoon Doksuri on Wednesday. The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported that at least 11 people, including four members of the PCG sent for rescue operations, were missing after the vessel capsized in the waters off Cagayan province.

The PCG stated that the aluminum boat carrying their personnel capsized due to strong winds and large waves. Despite efforts by the search and rescue team, which continued until Thursday morning, operations were temporarily suspended due to adverse weather conditions.
