Two Arrested, Including History-Sheeter, for Robbery in Chennai

Chennai police have apprehended two individuals, including a history-sheeter, in connection with a robbery in Kodungaiyur. The victim, M. Dhanasekaran, a 40-year-old autorickshaw driver, was waiting near the Chinnandi Mutt autorickshaw stand in Kodungaiyur on the night of Monday, October 23, 2023, when three unidentified persons attacked him and stole ₹300.

Following his complaint, a case was registered at the Kodungaiyur police station, leading to an investigation that resulted in the arrest of V. Karuna, also known as Karunagaran, aged 36, and S. Parthasarathi, aged 40, both from Kodungaiyur. Additionally, a knife was seized from the suspects. Notably, Karunakaran has a history-sheet at the Kodungaiyur police station, with eight pending cases against him.
