Union Cabinet Approves Rs 900 Crore Tribal University in Telangana

The union cabinet has reportedly given its approval for the establishment of a central tribal university in Mulug, Telangana, with an allocation of Rs 900 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this initiative during his visit to the state on October 1, naming it after tribal goddesses Sammakka and Sarakka.

With the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana, the BJP is actively working to gain a foothold in the state, which is traditionally dominated by the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the opposition Congress. Modi’s recent frequent visits to Telangana indicate the party’s determination to increase its presence in the region.
