Union Minister Meets Cambodian Mines and Energy Minister

Union Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi recently met Cambodian Mines and Energy Minister Keo Rottanak along with other senior Cambodian officials in New Delhi.

During the meeting, both sides discussed renewable energy cooperation and explored opportunities to strengthen ties between India and Cambodia in the energy sector.

According to Pralhad Joshi, the Cambodian delegation praised India’s fast progress in renewable energy development and expressed strong interest in learning from India’s successful initiatives.

A major area of discussion was the use of renewable energy for irrigation systems, which could help improve agricultural productivity while promoting sustainable energy solutions in Cambodia.

Joshi highlighted India’s achievements through important government programs such as PM-KUSUM, which supports solar energy use in agriculture, and PM Surya Ghar, which promotes solar power generation for households.

He also assured Cambodia that India is ready to provide technical support, knowledge-sharing, and cooperation in renewable energy development.

The meeting reflects India’s growing role as a global leader in sustainable energy solutions and its commitment to supporting partner nations in clean energy transition.

Pralhad Joshi expressed confidence that this engagement would further strengthen India-Cambodia relations and contribute to building a more sustainable and energy-efficient future for both countries.
