VCK, DMDK Undecided on Supporting TVK
Tamil Nadu’s political situation continues to remain uncertain as both the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) appear undecided about supporting Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in forming the next government.
TVK, led by actor-politician Vijay, is currently trying to gather enough support from other parties to secure a majority in the Assembly.
According to political sources, the VCK had planned to hold a meeting of its senior leaders on Thursday to discuss TVK’s request for support.
However, the meeting has now been postponed to Friday, indicating that the party may still be internally discussing its position.
Senior VCK leaders confirmed that the party has officially received communication from TVK requesting support for government formation.
Sources also stated that TVK has reportedly offered a cabinet berth to the VCK as part of its efforts to gain the party’s backing.
The possibility of joining the government has reportedly led to serious discussions within the VCK leadership.
At the same time, DMDK is also said to be carefully considering its options before making any public announcement regarding support for TVK.
With no party securing a full majority after the election, support from smaller parties has become extremely important in deciding who will form the government in Tamil Nadu.
Political analysts say the decisions taken by VCK and DMDK could play a major role in shaping the state’s next government.
The postponement of the VCK meeting has increased speculation about ongoing negotiations and possible alliance conditions behind the scenes.
As political talks continue, all eyes remain on smaller parties whose support may become crucial in the final government formation process.
