‘Young superstar’ Silambarasan seems to be going through a successful phase in his career at this very moment. Of late, the talented actor looks to be showered with great offers from top-notch filmmakers of the Tamil film industry.

Simbhu recently opted out of cinematographer-turned-director K.V. Anand’s ‘Ko’, a high-profile film, reportedly because he didn’t share the greatest of understanding with the director.  Though it was said that he wasn’t amused by the change of heroine from Tamannaah to a newcomer Karthika and quit the film, reports say that his decision could have been effected due to the tempting offer he got to star in Maniratnam’s next film in the lead role.

The veteran filmmaker  reportedly approached Silambarasan for his upcoming project which might go to floors from November.  Sources added that this could also be a bilingual film featuring a hot and happening actor of Bollywod in the lead role for the Hindi version.  Simbu, however, remained tightlipped maintaining that nothing has so far been finalized till date.

Simbhu is anxiously awaiting the release of his upcoming film ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’, his first film since the hit film ‘Silambattam’ early last year.  ‘VTV’ is scheduled for a February 19 release.  With Udhayanidhi Stalin acquiring the film’s distribution rights, publicity won’t be a commodity which would be in shortage for the film.
