Amit Shah Inaugurates NIA Counter-Terror Conference

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today opened the Counter-Terrorism Conference organised by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in New Delhi. During the event, he honoured NIA officers for their role in fighting terrorism.

In a social media post, Mr. Shah said that terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity and everyone must work together to defeat it. He added that the Narendra Modi government is taking strong action to curb terrorism in the country.

Mr. Shah said the conference acts as a national platform where different agencies share ideas and strategies to prepare effective plans to eliminate terrorism.

The main aim of the conference is to improve coordination among various agencies. It seeks to build better cooperation through formal and informal channels so that all stakeholders can work together against terrorism, following a “whole of government” approach.
