Harbhajan Slams PCB Over India Match Boycott
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has strongly criticised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over its decision to threaten a boycott of the high-profile India vs Pakistan match in the 2026 men’s T20 World Cup.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Harbhajan dared PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi to take action and follow through on the threat. He said the decision would be unfair to cricket fans who have been eagerly waiting to watch the two teams face each other.
Harbhajan accused Pakistan of mixing politics with cricket. He said the board is playing political games while ignoring the feelings of its own supporters. Many Pakistani fans look forward to matches against India, and a boycott would disappoint them.
His comments came after reports that the Pakistani government has cleared the men’s team to participate in the tournament. However, the government reportedly advised the team not to play against India in the group-stage match scheduled for February 15.
Harbhajan’s remarks reflect the tension and uncertainty surrounding one of cricket’s most-watched rivalries. Fans from both countries are closely watching the situation, hoping that the India-Pakistan match will go ahead as planned.
