Vaibhav’s Childhood Heroes: Lara and Yuvraj

Guwahati, March 30 – Young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi has spoken about his inspiration and goals ahead of Rajasthan Royals’ opening match in IPL 2026 against Chennai Super Kings.

Vaibhav said he has always looked up to legends like Brian Lara and Yuvraj Singh. He admired how they could win matches on their own and make a big impact on the game. Their performances inspired him when he was a child and helped shape his playing style.

Now just 19 years old, Vaibhav has already achieved many big milestones. At the age of 13, he became the youngest player to sign an IPL contract, which made him widely known. Since then, he has continued to break records, including becoming the youngest player to score a century in T20 cricket and the first Indian to hit the fastest fifty in IPL history.

Speaking in a recent interview, Vaibhav said his main focus is to help Rajasthan Royals win matches. As an opening batter, he wants to give strong starts and play attacking cricket, especially during the powerplay overs.

He also said that team success is more important than individual achievements. According to him, if the team performs well and wins matches, personal success will naturally follow.

Vaibhav’s goal for this season is clear — he wants to help Rajasthan Royals win the IPL trophy. With his talent and confidence, he is expected to play a key role for the team in the upcoming matches.
