India’s Foreign Secretary Discusses Defence and Trade Ties with US Officials

India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with senior U.S. officials to discuss ways to strengthen defence and trade relations between the two countries. The meetings also covered regional developments in the Indo-Pacific and West Asia.

During his three-day visit, Mr. Misri held discussions with undersecretaries from the Department of Defence and Commerce. He focused on deepening cooperation in defence and expanding trade ties.

The Indian Embassy in the U.S. shared updates on their interactions, highlighting a wide-ranging conversation between Misri and Under Secretary Elbridge Colby at the Pentagon. The talks covered key issues in the Indo-Pacific region and West Asia.
