Adam Milne Returns to New Zealand T20I Squad for India Series

New Zealand has announced a 16-player squad for their five-match T20I series against India, starting on October 22 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. Mitchell Santner will lead the team as they begin their home summer campaign.

The squad includes seven fast bowlers: Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Jacob Duffy, Adam Milne, Zak Foulkes, and Nathan Smith. Milne is back after missing the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 due to injury. Michael Bracewell, who also missed the World Cup because of an injury, has been included in the squad.

Thirteen players from the team that finished second at the T20 World Cup are part of this squad. These include Santner, Finn Allen, Devon Conway, and others. Rachin Ravindra is not in the squad after dislocating his right shoulder during a promotional shoot on September 16. His return to the team will depend on his rehabilitation progress.

New Zealand head coach Rob Walter expressed excitement about the squad’s depth and ability to compete against India, who are the current T20 world champions. He emphasized the importance of managing workloads and using all squad members during the series.
