Andhra Pradesh Government Challenges Anticipatory Bail to Naidu in Amaravati IRR Case
The Andhra Pradesh government has filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court challenging the anticipatory bail granted by the State High Court to former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the alignment scam case. The government alleges that the High Court’s findings were factually incorrect and could cause prejudice during the trial. The government contends that Naidu, the primary architect of the scam, is attempting to derail the investigation into corruption, cheating, and criminal breach of trust. It accuses him of deliberately and fraudulently making decisions to benefit private entities with quid-pro-quo arrangements, ultimately harming the public exchequer.
