Avadi City Police Conducts Awareness Campaign Against Drug Abuse

Avadi City Police organized a significant awareness campaign against drug abuse, engaging school and college students in a large human formation on Monday. Led by Avadi City Police Commissioner K. Shankar and the Director General of Police, Shankar Jiwal, the event saw the administration of a pledge to the students, emphasizing the importance of a drug-free society.

Mr. Jiwal urged students to actively contribute to achieving this goal and encouraged their cooperation in combating drug abuse. Among the notable participants were J. Kumaragurubaran, School Education Secretary, and Additional Commissioner of Avadi City Police S. Rajendran. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 3,397 students, highlighting the community’s commitment to addressing the issue of drug abuse.
