The Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudy taken into questioning by ED

DMK Minister for Higher Education K. Ponmudy was taken in for questioning by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) on Monday. The ED conducted searches for 13 hours in Chennai and Villupuram as part of an alleged money laundering case.

The investigation is believed to be linked to a corruption case filed against Ponmudy by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption in 2012. Along with Ponmudy, his son and MP P. Gautham Sigamani were also taken in for questioning.

The ED’s action has sparked significant interest and raised concerns within the political landscape. The developments highlight the ongoing investigation into financial irregularities and corruption allegations involving prominent figures in the state.
