Delhi Minister Atishi Seeks Chief Secretary’s Suspension Amidst Land Acquisition Probe

Delhi Minister Atishi has submitted a supplementary report to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, urging the immediate suspension of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar pending the completion of the Banmoli land acquisition case investigation. This follows the Chief Secretary’s alleged lack of action against the southwest Delhi District Magistrate Hemant Kumar in response to the initial report.

Atishi claims that despite the Chief Secretary’s awareness of the Bamnoli land acquisition, no concrete action was taken, and she alleges an attempt to protect the former DM. Atishi recommends a CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe to uncover the truth, emphasizing that the Chief Secretary’s son’s company benefited from the case.

The Delhi government criticized Lieutenant Governor V. K. Saxena’s response to the matter, accusing him of attempting to “protect” favored officers.
