Grandparents in Kerala killed by a mentally unstable man

In Thrissur, a 24-year-old man, Agmal, who was allegedly undergoing treatment for mental instability, killed his maternal grandparents, Abdulla Kutty (65) and Jameela (60), according to the police. The murders were discovered when the elderly couple’s son, who lived nearby, came over for breakfast in the morning.

Locals said that Agmal, a college dropout, was upset after his parent’s separation and had turned to drugs, causing him to behave in a distraught manner. The police were alerted, and Agmal, who had been on the run, was apprehended and taken into custody. The incident has raised concerns about mental health and drug abuse in the area.
