Inaugural Greater Chennai Police Equestrian Championship 2024 Set to Gallop Ahead

Marking a historic milestone, the inaugural Greater Chennai Police Equestrian Championship 2024 is slated to commence from February 23 to 25. Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development Udhayanidhi Stalin extended support by presenting a ₹5 lakh cheque to City Police Commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore.

Originating from the legacy of the Madras Mounted Branch established in 1780, the event aims to bolster the Greater Chennai Police Mounted Branch while also raising awareness about drug abuse. With a rich history dating back centuries, the championship signifies a significant step towards promoting equestrian sports and enhancing police capabilities in the region.
