Purandeswari Accuses Jagan Government of Failing Farmers

Accusing the Andhra Pradesh government of neglecting farmers’ welfare, BJP State president Daggubati Purandeswari asserted that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s promises to farmers remained unfulfilled. Highlighting the dire situation, she stated that ninety percent of farmers in the state had fallen into a debt trap, with Andhra Pradesh ranking second in tenant farmers’ suicides nationwide.

Purandeswari criticized the government for its failure to address agricultural challenges, citing a drastic decline in productivity across various sectors. Despite claims of being farmer-friendly, she argued, the Jagan-led administration had not taken concrete steps to alleviate farmers’ plight, casting doubts on its commitment to agricultural development.
