Jharkhand Student Protest Enters Day 15
The student protest over alleged exam irregularities in Jharkhand has entered its 15th day on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The protest is continuing as students and the government have not yet reached an agreement.
On Friday, August 7, several Jharkhand government ministers met with protesting students in Ranchi. The meeting continued for nearly two hours. During the discussion, students explained their concerns and repeated their demand for a detailed investigation into the alleged irregularities in the examination process.
The main demand of the protesting students is a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry. They believe that a central investigation is needed to examine the complaints and find out whether any serious problems or unfair practices took place during the examinations.
However, the meeting between the government and the students did not result in a final solution. Although the ministers listened to the students’ concerns, both sides could not agree on the main demands.
Student leader Ravindra Paswan said that the government had heard their concerns, but the key issues were still not resolved. He also made it clear that the students would continue their protest until their demands are properly addressed.
The continuing protest has put pressure on the Jharkhand government to find a solution. Students are asking the authorities to take their complaints seriously and ensure that the examination system remains fair and transparent.
Meanwhile, another group led by the Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM) is scheduled to meet the government committee on Saturday. The meeting is expected to focus on the alleged exam irregularities and the concerns raised by students.
The outcome of this meeting could be important in deciding the next step in the ongoing protest. Students are hoping that the government will consider their demands and take appropriate action. Until a clear decision is reached, the student protest is expected to continue in Jharkhand.
