Main Accused Arrested in Case of Woman Paraded with Garland of Shoes

The Karnataka Police have apprehended the primary accused, Arjuna Gundavvagol, in a shocking case where a woman was paraded with a garland of shoes in a Belagavi district village over allegations of honey trapping. The incident occurred in the Ghataprabha Mrutyunjaya area near Gokak town. The police had initially taken the woman into custody based on accusations of honey trapping against her, and they subsequently filed a complaint against the locals who had assaulted and paraded her.

Arjuna Gundavvagol had accused the woman of engaging in honey trapping and, along with associates, entered her residence, questioned her, and subjected her to physical assault before parading her with a garland of shoes near Ghataprabha Mrutyunjaya Circle. The group later brought her to the police station and urged law enforcement to take action against her, claiming she had honey-trapped a youth and extorted money. The investigation is ongoing as the police seek additional suspects involved in the assault.
